Vote   Send

SIFE-Monmouth University students are developing work-shops and events which increase the financial literacy and success skills of local bands who are seeking an opportunity to "Make It." SIFE understands how important it is to have a strong understanding of financial literacy, and moreover success skills, in an highly competitive industry.

Through our workshops, local bands will develop skills which will allow them to continue to compete in the entertainment industry, and moreover, SIFE will facilitate the opportunity to succeed, by reaching out to Record Labels, and setting up a networking event, in which the local bands will have the opportunity to play for these labels, and perhaps, even create an opportunity to obtain a deal with the record label.

Besides success skills, it is important to handle finances properly for a band, as that can make a difference in whether or not a band succeeds of fails. With stronger financial literacy, bands will be able to handle their finances properly and, overall have a stronger understanding of where their money is being spent, and how it is being spent.

SIFE- Monmouth University students are dedicated to helping these local bands "Make It." New Jersey is a state which has produced talent that is known in the entertainment industry world-wide. Thus, our goal is to continue to follow this trend, and moreover facilitate the opportunties by enhancing the financial literacy of these local bands, moreover, teaching success skills, and lastly, by setting up a networking event, where bands will have the opportunity to play for these record labels, and potentially earn the opportunity to "Make It."
