Indiana University's Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) team went to local Bloomington elementary schools to teach upper-elementary aged students about globalization through the steps of production of a cotton t-shirt. The students also learned bout the impact globalization has on their lives. We used a pre-test, interactive presentation-including a PowerPoint, and a fun cross-word puzzle to keep students engaged and make sure they were learning. Students took a virtual trip around the globe to visit major apparel-producing countries, learning about specilization and other important economic concepts.
