CONTEST RESULTS - June 30, 2009

The initial True Hero™ competition, for the school year ended June 30, 2009, had 54 student community service projects posted from 32 colleges, five high schools and three non-profit organizations.  Additionally, 14 service project videos were posted on YouTube™. As of June 30, 2009, over 21,000 votes were received from the general public for these projects, in addition to over 6,500 views of the project videos on YouTube™.

The contest results for the competitions ended June 30, 2009, are shown on the left side of this page.  Only eligible votes were counted.  Any duplicate votes from multiple email addresses were eliminated, at the discretion of True Hero, Inc.  See Contest Rules for a description and definition of eligible votes.

Thank you for participating in our first competition.  Thanks to you, truehero.org has been a big success in its first year, receiving significant recognition, and thus enabling us to attract donations and sponsorship support for the next school year.  Also, your community service projects are included in the competition again for the 2009/2010 school year.  The vote counts were re-set to zero as of July 1, 2009, so that you can vote again (once) for your favorite community service project and for as many projects as you like.

If you are a student volunteer,
THANK YOU for inspiring optimism, gratitude and a call to service in all of us.

If you are a faculty advisor,
THANK YOU for your leadership and the gift of your personal time to your students.

Share your community service projects, ideas, project experiences and volunteer opportunities on the True Hero blog at http://trueheroorg.blogspot.com
